'Straight Outta Syria' | Documentary Short
This short documentary follows three Syrian refugee brothers, Samir (13), Abdul Rahman (12) and Mohammed (9) who use rap as an outlet to tell their compelling story. Our film hoped to give an insight into the individuals caught up in war, and their universally relatable passions and dreams. The film calls on the international community to back the Hope for Syria’s Young Talent petition ensuring Syrian refugee children secure an education in Lebanon, Jordan, and Turkey.
The shoot took place in the Bekaa Valley in Lebanon where over 350,000 Syrian refugees have found shelter. The film was made in collaboration with education charity Theirworld, and screened on the BBC and across the Middle East.
